The Piedmont Triad Sustainable Communities Planning Project

The Piedmont Triad Sustainable Communities Project is currently a 35 member consortium of North Carolina cities, towns and non profit organizations. They sponsor Piedmont Voice but are not listed with the State of North Carolina. But then they appear to be less than a month old so who knows.

I searched their website and blog back to February 24, 2011 but never found a board of directors. Apparently, Brent McKinney and Mark Kirstner of PART are in charge of the consortium and its a $1.6 Million dollar grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. It will be interesting to see where that money goes.

I wonder if anyone ever thought about starting a non profit to build a non profit wiki on non profits? And how does one go about getting $1.6 Million in Federal Grants before you get listed by the state?
