According to the North Carolina Secretary of State website, TREBIC was suspended in 2006 and has yet to be reinstated, for failing to comply with the NC Department of Revenue pursuant to N.C.G.S. 105-230(a). TREBIC is also known as the Triad Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition. TREBIC remains suspended and yet they continue to lobby our local and state boards, commissions and legislatures?
If true, that means that everything TREBIC has done and every law that TREBIC has lobbied on behalf of is invalid according to North Carolina laws. Anyone remember TREBIC's recent lobbying effort to do away with protest petitions and the death of RUCO?
Nancy Radtke is again running for the president of the GRRA (Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association!) sits on their board and claims to be on the board of a suspended political action committee whose sole purpose is to control land use throughout North Carolina.
This letter hosted at NAIOP Piedmont Triad Chapter, lists the 2011 Trebic Board of Directors as the following: Chairman - Kathy Carpenter, Vice Chairman – Dick Franks, Treasurer – Lee Porter, Secretary – Betty Smith, Rick Dehnert, Marc Isaacson, Jim Grdich, Dwain Skeen, Greg Garrett, Keith Price, Tom Hall, Cindy Martin, Lolita Malave, Lisa Dellinger, Chester Brown, Brian Pearce and Doug Stimmel. As to who sits on their 2012 Board of Directors... I've yet to find out but I did locate the local NAIOP board of directors.
Update: Even though Trebic's website clearly states, "to take collaborative action in issues of concern to their broad membership engaged in real estate sales, building, development, finance, management and leasing. and they clearly work to lobby State and local governments, the NC Campaign Report Search does not list them.
